So, West Roxbury is getting a new Sports Club/LA. How trendy. Boston Business Journal reports that the BRA approved plans for a new $6 million LA/Fitness Club in West Roxbury. Located on the VFW Parkway the project includes the renovation of an existing retail space previously occupied by Stop & Shop into a new 48,000-square-foot fitness club. Damm.
Secondly, the BRA approved a new development for MGH in Beacon Hill. The gas station and convenience store currently located at 296 Cambridge Street will now be redeveloped into a $9.5 million office building with retail on the first floor. Here's hoping Villa Mexico can stay in business as the retailer.
