Things to do - for St. Patty's Day

So the big Southie Parade is planned for Sunday, and the bars along Broadway are always a fun area to hit up during this time of year. For the rest of us, it seems a bit slow this St. Patrick's Day. Here are some highlights of places to go, besides your favorite Irish bar:

The First Annual Pub Challenge is sold out, but meet up for the pre-party on Saturday.

Dropkick Murphys are shipping into Boston this weekend from March 12-17 at the new House of Blues. Tickets are running about $30.

Head over on St. Patty's Day to Beehive for their 2nd annual St Pat's party with live Irish music. Party starts at 5pm and there is no cover.

Kings in the Back Bay is going to give a $25 gift card to anyone who bowls a strike. Party starts at 6pm, no cover.

Head to Harvard Square where the Brattle Theater is showing the "scary" Leprechaun.

Whatever you do, wear green, drink Guinness and support your local drinking spot.
