It seems this week our cultural institutions are showing us how to rock the party, the art party that is. This Friday, North Shore's Peabody Essex Museum is throwing a Surf's Up Beach Party to compliment its Surf Land photography exhibit.
The party entails a variety of beach fun - learn how to surf, build a sand castle, watch films, design your own surfboard and dance under the stars. The event includes a casual summer menu of pizza, burgers (beef and veggie), hot dogs, vegetable sticks, fruit salad and cool drinks. Cash bar will be available. The event is $10 for non members, and free for members. Click here for more info on the event and the Surf Land exhibit.
