Financial District has a new outpost for lunch and dinner - Battery Park Bar and Lounge.
Thanks to Thrillist, we know that Battery is (another) after work sports/bar and lounge with 87 indoor seats and a huge (100 seat) outdoor patio. The mahogany bar offers you 16 flat screens, five spacious beige high-backed banquettes w/ directional speakers and touch screen TV controls. Patriots against Miami at Battery, anyone?
The menu seems pretty similar to what you'd expect at a sports-lounge - battered haddock, Shepard's pie, sammies and burgers and something with a twist - steamed Guinness shrimp w/ white onion seasoning. The bar also offers 16 brews on tap.
Battery Park and Lounge is open for lunch and dinner (starting at 11:00am) and is located at 33 Batterymarch Street. Click here for more info.
