From the folks behind Dorchester's dBar comes Deuxave (pronounced doo-ave). Deuxave at 371 Commonwealth Ave (corner of Mass Ave and Comm) is officially open this weekend folks, but has already been softly opening. :)
The restaurant will be featuring "American Nouveau Cuisine" with concentration on using seasonal, farm-fresh local ingredients. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, with some help from American ingredients. Sounds a lot like many other restaurants around here? (That's what I thought).
Menu includes a lot of local seafood and veggies, such as the Scituate Lobster Gnocchi appetizer, Seared Hawaiian Ahi Tuna, vegetarian ragoƻt and meats such as
Moroccan spiced Colorado lamb and a duet of Giannone Farms Organic Chicken as entrees. Deuxave states right off the bat to have a vibrant bar scene, with the bar manager coming from Eastern Standard, so hopefully that means will see a great selection of beers and unique cocktails.
Deuxave is open for dinner Sunday thru Wednesday from 5:00 PM-10:00 PM and Thursday- Saturday 5:00 PM-11:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday brunch is planned to start within the first year. For more information, click here.
