Farmers' Markets 2008

With everything more expensive than it was a year before, isn't it nice to know that the market season is here? It means you can probably walk to get cheaper organic food and baked goods. Hot? Totally.

Below is a list of local farmers' markets. Most markets either started this week or will next week. Ending time varies. Click here for more info.

Cambridge

  • Central Square, behind Harvard Co-op/Mass Ave. Mondays, 11:30am-6:00pm
  • Kendall Square, near the Genzyme bldg, at Kendall Street. Two blocks away from the T. Kendall's market is featuring Taza Chocolate and Christina's Ice Cream. Yum. Thursdays, 11:00am-2:00pm.
  • Cambridgeport, Morse School, Magazine St. & Memorial Dr., Saturdays, 10:00am-3:00pm
  • Harvard Square, Charles Hotel Plaza area, Fridays & Sundays, F: 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm
    Sun: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Boston
  • Copley Square Market, Copley Plaza, across from BPL. Tuesdays and Fridays, 11:00am-6:00pm.
  • Haymarket, Fridays & Saturdays. You know where this is, right? Just a warning, this is good to go to if you are going to eat what you buy within 2 days.
  • Charlestown, Thompson Sq. at Main & Austin Streets, Wednesdays, 2:00pm-7:00pm
  • Jamaica Plain, Bank of America Parking Lot, Centre St. Tuesdays & Saturdays, T: 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Sat: 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
  • Mission Hill, Brigham Circle, at Huntington Ave. & Tremont St., Thursdays, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Roxbury, Dudley Town Common, Dudley St. & Blue Hill Ave., Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:00pm to 7:00 pm

Arlington, Somerville & Brookline

  • Davis Square, parking lot behind Starbucks, Wednesdays, 12pm until dark.
  • Union Square (features arts too), Saturdays, 9:00am-1:00pm
  • Coolidge Corner, Thursdays, 1:30pm til dusk.
  • Arlington, public lot behind Mass Ave, Wednesdays, 1:30pm-6:00pm
