On the way to Chris Rock at the Wang on Saturday, I commented to some peeps that on the corner of Kneeland and Tremont the first "W" Hotel in Boston is being built for completion. We are getting another boutique hotel, in the old Ames building (Court St at State Street, across from the Old State House) and it's fittingly being called the Ames Hotel. The hotel building was office space and currently has the ground floor tenant of Newbury Comics. Check out the Globe article here.
