So Boston Business Journal is giving us some good gossip recently. Brad Fredricks, owner of the Fajitas & 'Ritas chain (locations in Quincy and Downtown Crossing) is opening a new venue in the West Street Suffolk dorm building. The word is that chef Chris Schlesinger (owner of East Coast Grill and founder of All Star Sandwich Bar) is helping out with the concepts.
In addition to that, the owners of Lala Rokh, the Persian restaurant in Beacon Hill are opening a restaurant called Bina Osteria and a market, Bina Alimentari on Washington Street near the Ritz Carlton that is slated for a fall opening. If the cuisine at Lala Rokh is any basis, we all may be piling into Downtown Crossing before the Basement reopens again after all.
